.NET Application Developer (Azure)

The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a .NET Application Developer (Azure) to work within an application development team to design software solutions and focus on our Azure platform expansion. You will report to an Application Development Team Leader and be an important part of a major architectural effort to transform the way technology works at Fisher Investments. You will learn new technologies and help improve existing tools and standards as we move to our new technology platform.
The Day-to-Day:
- Responsible for the design, development, maintenance and support of highly scalable, highly performant applications that have zero downtime
- Prototype, validate and create important application solutions for business
- Work with product owner and important partners in Project Management, Business, Technology Operations to ensure delivery of software projects on time and budget
- Participate in technical governance, design reviews, code reviews and ensure development best practices are followed
- Use automated software test tools and frameworks such as Test-driven development to achieve software quality standards
- Support with testing efforts and release and deployment and improve the release process
- Troubleshoot and support applications in production in case of any issues
- Responsible for logging, dash boarding and efficient monitoring to address issues proactively
Your Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full stack web development experience with Microsoft technologies - ASP .NET, C#, .NET Core
- 2+ years of hands on experience with application development on Microsoft Azure, and solid familiarity with Azure Cloud technologies, and architecture
- 5+ years of hands on experience developing Rich, Robust and Responsive Web Applications and Single page Applications using JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related degree), or equivalent experience
- Experience developing Web UI and Client-side using testing frameworks like Jasmine/Karma/NUnit/Junit for Test-driven Development
- Hands-on experience in GitHub, JIRA, TFS
- Experience with HTML/HTML 5 markup and CSS/CSS 3 skills, particularly best practices for responsive web applications
- Experience with HTTP, web standards and cross browser capabilities, Web Accessibility
- Implement front end optimization techniques such as Lazy Loading, Asynchronous Module Definition, Closures
- Experience working in small to medium scrum teams in an Agile development environment
- Strong knowledge of software development, testing, CI/CD, DevOps, maintenance, and support
- Domain experience in application development, including client/server, web components/micro-frontends, web services, micro-services
- Experience analyzing, proposing, and implementing cost-effective, quality solutions for all issues within your responsibilities
Compensation:
- $85,000 - $135,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
