Senior Application Developer
Job Description:
Senior Application Developer positions offered by Fisher Asset Management, LLC (Plano, TX). Design, architect, and develop major components of projects and make changes in the existing modules to enhance the functionality of Enterprise applications used across the firm. Analyze existing modules and identifying necessary code changes are required to be done. Write functional/technical specifications, coding, unit and integration testing. Create necessary tasks/work item in the scrum board. Write new modules based on the analysis done and following standard review process to review the changes with peer team members and Technical Manager. Write modules to improve the performance and efficiency of the application. Write the unit test for each module and ensure it passes in all the development and pre-production environment before deployment to production environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in MIS, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field and 7 years of experience in the position offered or 7 years of experience performing application development for one of the following regulated enterprise environments: financial services, insurance, or healthcare. Requires 7 years of experience developing integration applications using Microsoft BizTalk Server, ESB, WCF Service and Message Queue, ETL solutions with SSIS including ensuring compliance with TCP/IP protocols. Also requires 7 years of experience performing objectoriented programming and developing web-based applications and Web APIs using ASP, ASP.Net, .Net Core, C#, JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks, HTML, DHTML, XML, XSL, CSS and Swagger (for API documentation); developing desktop applications with VB6, WPF in .NET Framework; developing business components with C#, VB.Net and Python using Microsoft SQL Server as relational database and 'No SQL' database backend and implementing in a multi-tier environment; and developing software leveraging DevOps principles and tools like TFS, Git, GitHub and other CI/CD tools. Requires 5 years of experience developing Cloud solution with Platform as a Service and working with Cloud services including cloud storage, data ingestion pipelines, data processing and analytics, Server Less Services, API Gateways and CICD pipeline with cloud database such as Azure SQL and Snowflake; and analyzing documents, troubleshooting applications and using the Agile methodology and project management tools. Position reports to office in Plano, TX. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
