Sr. DevOps and Tools Engineer
Job Description:
Sr. DevOps and Tools Engineer positions offered by Fisher Asset Management, LLC (Plano, TX). Ensure tools related to the Agile development processes operate effectively for application development teams. Support entire Technology organization with the tools and platforms needed to enable Agile planning and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Define the application and integration development processes, tools, execution strategies, roadmaps, and monitoring to drive adherence to processes, with support and input from group management. Oversee the development of the processes and ongoing program adherence from beginning to end, ensure processes are appropriately followed, take corrective action accordingly, and update the process to fit the ongoing evolution of the technology organization. Design, configure and set up Atlassian tools, both on-premises and cloud based, to drive application development efficiencies and improve operational stability of the tools. Develop tooling and processes to increase automation of development and adherence to security and audit systems and controls. Integrate and configure additional tools/frameworks as needed, to support and enable Agile at scale. Foster the adoption of DevOps tools and capabilities across Technology groups. Collaborate across the department to gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems. Implement strategies for improving or further leveraging DevOps processes and tools. Monitor system availability and performance within agreed upon timelines.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in management information system, computer science, or a related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or 7 years of experience creating roadmap and automation for agile planning tools; implementing Jira plugins and confluence plugins; and performing scripting for Atlassian suite automation. Requires 4 years of experience constructing dockerfile and image creation and running containers on Kubernetes or using Docker run time environment. Also requires 2 years of experience utilizing DevOps within private and public cloud platforms. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
