Job Description

Overview

The Technology Communications Lead is a critical part of the Technology organization. This individual is responsible for communications and overall logistical support to the Technology organization.  The role is delivered through maintaining a robust knowledge base of the organization’s work and the environment in which it operates, preparing management and organization-wide updates, and ensuring change management for the technology transformation program.  The successful candidate will become a confidant of the senior technology leader and spend his/her time preparing communications to various stakeholders and coordinating updates to strategic initiatives for risk and issues reporting.  This individual will develop and enforce standards that drive the organization to deliver on key milestones within the transformation program.

 

Responsibilities include preparing written and visual communications for internal or external use and preparing organizational communications to support the transformation program.

 

The Technology Communications Lead will need to be familiar with and understand current risks, issues, and dependencies and communicate them to the senior technology leader or appropriate person proactively. This individual must be able to interpret technology status or issues and be able to communicate/translate them into well-written business updates.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and organizational skills.  He or she will be interfacing with leaders on the Technology leadership team as well as key stakeholders across the organization on a daily basis.

 

Qualifications:  
•Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting a technology organization or technology department
•Ability to prepare effective presentations and communications (both written and verbal) that illustrate the larger Technology transformation program
•Excellent analytical skills.
•Ability to navigate relationships within the organization across multiple stakeholders, functions, and locations.
•Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
•High level of attention to detail and focus on quality is critical.
•Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, Word; other applications desired.
•Previous experience in change and/or transition management is preferable, but not required.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
