Job Description




Fisher Investments is seeking a highly talented Seasonal Facility Services Grounds Maintenance Technician in our Camas, WA location. This employee is responsible under general supervision to perform work in general maintenance of landscape and grounds, maintain and perform minor repairs to grounds maintenance equipment, some general custodial care and minor building facilities duties.


Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain grounds in clean, safe, and orderly manner
  • Removal of weeds and debris from walkways, culverts, stairways, roadways, planters and parking areas by hand or via herbicide application
  • Prune shrubs and trees up to maximum height of fifteen feet
  • Use blower or broom to sweep parking spaces, driveways and patios
  • Maintain in-ground drains and culverts
  • Load and unload equipment or materials from department vehicles
  • Haul and dispose of landscape cuttings and debris
  • Cultivate and renovate designated planting areas: install or replaces trees, ornamental plants, shrubs, ground covers, annuals, and bulbs
  • Plan, install, and maintain landscape irrigation systems including repairing or replacing sprinkler heads, valves, and lines
  • Assist with repairs or installations of fencing, paving materials for pathways, concrete and rock retaining walls, wood, concrete and/or rock boarders and various posts, slabs, drains, and culverts 
  • Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment such as string trimmer, rototiller, chainsaw, power hedge trimmer, sprayers, and basic gardening hand tools
  • Load equipment on vehicles for transport and drive to work sites
  • Keep hoses, supplies, tools, and equipment in proper condition and repair 
  • Maintain and install low voltage landscaping lighting systems
  • Mix and apply approved herbicides for weed mitigation
  • Mix and apply fertilizers
  • Perform minor pest management
  • Maintain stock of fertilizer and plant food supplies



  • Functional literacy
  • Ability to demonstrate an acceptable degree of skills in those areas identified above
  • Ability to relate well staff and public
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Lifting up to 60 lbs.
