The Opportunity:

Under the guidance of the Group Vice President of Human Resources, the Compensation Manager will build a team to take ownership in analyzing, maintaining, and potentially revising Fisher Investments’ compensation programs and processes. As a key member of HR, you will act as a resource, working alongside management to devise individual and group-wide plans.  Most importantly, you and your team will be responsible for ensuring our employees’ understanding of their own compensation and rewards. Explaining how compensation decisions are made is not always an easy conversation to have, but it is incredibly important to the relationship we want to have with our employees. Be our compensation expert; give us the expertise and tools to be able to confidently attract and retain top talent and build more rewarding relationships with our employees.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Develop plans for new or enhanced compensation programs by researching options and analyzing data to making recommendations for change
  • Responsible for all aspects of project management of new or enhanced compensation programs, policies and processes, as we scale for significant growth
  • Compose communications and deliver training to provide leaders and employees a thorough understanding of compensation plans, including variable compensation plans and bonuses
  • Handle all unique wage and hour inquiries
  • Stay informed of compensation regulations, ensuring that all compensation programs meet business needs and comply with applicable laws and regulations

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years compensation experience
  • Proven strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, including the ability to synthesize information and data from a variety of sources
  • Strong Excel skills including advanced functions, pivot tables and macros
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present information to senior executives
