Great communication is more than just a voice, great communication feels interactive and surprising. As a Graphic Designer in Employee Engagement you will be responsible for creating communication that impacts employees whether it’s an email, poster, a presentation, application UI or an internal marketing plan. As a member of Employee Engagement you will drive behavior across our organization, inspiring employees to do more, to challenge themselves and understand our firm’s culture and values.  You’ll need the courage to try new things, fail miserably, dust yourself off and try all over again. Your creativity will be pushed beyond just design as you help drive creative strategy and create new approaches to delivering messages to our employees.

Your role will be to make the firm’s purpose, goals and culture relatable on a daily basis. You will be hands on in creating internal marketing materials, campaigns, presentations and firm wide communications. You’ll be expected to provide ideas for creative ways that surprise and delight our global employees and help strengthen their connection to the firm. You’ll also play a critical role in driving our content media strategy online to attract and recruit new employees from across the globe.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Design in a variety of styles to deliver a message with clarity and impact
  • Execute on your creative perspective
  • Design employee and candidate focused communications for our intranet internal communication, careers page and social media
  • Collaborate with other creatives, writers and management
  • Creatively problem solve while crafting a narrative in your design
  • Own relationships and projects from start to finish
  • Meet tight deadlines with multiple coinciding projects

Your Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated results in both print and digital visual communications with very high attention to detail
  • Proven expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • A firm grasp of HTML & CSS a plus
  • Experience designing presentations in PowerPoint
  • Degree of proficiency in typography and visual composition is essential
  • High level understanding of current design trends and skills
  • Be creative not only at designing but also at solving problems
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past online design work

Why Fisher Investments:

Fisher Investments is a different kind of investment firm. We don’t come from Wall Street, nor do we believe we fit in with most of the finance industry, and we’re proud of that. We work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe. From unmatched service to innovative perspectives on investing, it’s the people that make the Fisher purpose possible. After all, it’s our people that enable us to offer the level of service that we do. And we invest in them accordingly, offering exceptional benefits like:

  • 100% coverage of premiums for health, vision and dental insurance
  • A 50% 401(k) match, up to the IRS maximum
  • 20 days of PTO*, plus 9 paid holidays
  • 8 week paid Primary Caregiver Parental Leave
  • And much, much more

We also provide a cumulative, continuous learning and development framework customized for every employee. This emphasis on personal and professional growth has yielded an award-winning work environment; we’re Great Place to Work Certified, and The Oregonian named us as a 2017 and 2018 Top Workplace.

But in the end, it’s not the perks that keep people here. They stay because they believe in our mission of service—our employees want to make a difference in an industry that can do better.

* California employees accrue up to 17 days of PTO and 3 days of sick time per year.
