Fisher Investments Ireland is looking for a talented Senior Paraplanner or Financial Planner to join our rapidly growing Private Client Advice department. The role would suit an existing adviser looking for a modern and efficient approach to private client advice and investment management.

The Opportunity:


The Private Client Advice department provides regulated financial advice, recommendation proposals, and analysis to our European clients and prospective clients. In this role your primary responsibility will be to provide advice to existing and prospective clients, including reviewing Irish pensions, cash flow planning and providing suitability and transfer recommendations. The role offers an exciting opportunity for an innovative individual with experience who is keen to take ownership of their role, joining a fast growing investment firm where long standing careers can be built.


The Day-to-Day:

  • Review prospective clients’ existing arrangements, which can include pensions and investment accounts, to determine whether a transfer is suitable.
  • Write the financial advice proposal for prospective clients with a primary focus on the suitability of the transfers meeting a client’s long term objective ensuring adherence to regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Co-ordinate with Sales and Service departments to evaluate prospect and client objectives, portfolio holdings, investment time-horizon, cash flow needs, financial situation and risk tolerance to determine a suitable investment recommendation.
  • Working on ad hoc projects to improve the efficiency of the team.


  • A University degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 3+ years financial services experience required
  • QFA qualification minimum
  • Very strong understanding of financial planning principles
  • Strong knowledge and experience in providing advice on various pension types
  • Genuine desire to provide a high standard of advice and service to clients
  • Quantitative in nature, with strong written and verbal communication
  • Extremely attentive to detail
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office applications, CRM).
