The Opportunity:


Our IT Department is now seeking a highly talented Systems Engineer (Senior Operations Engineer - SharePoint Technologies) to join our team.  This position will be located either in our San Mateo, CA, office (near San Francisco, CA) or our Camas, WA, office (near Portland, OR).  This will be a contract-to-hire or direct hire opportunity.


The Day-to-Day:

  • Take ownership of new and/or existing environments including planning upgrades, staying on top of EOL dates and documenting inter-dependencies
  • Troubleshoot and debug systems end-to-end
  • Manage technical support relationship with our software vendors
  • Train, mentor and lead junior system support team members
  • Utilizes design skills to define Technical Design Specifications for complex and high impact projects
  • Create, train and manage all necessary documentation including but not limited to system standards and run-books
  • Research software solutions to meet current business needs or to proactively create efficiencies
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation

 Your Qualifications:


 Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ yrs. experience in supporting an enterprise class infrastructure as Senior Systems Engineer
  • Advance level experience using PowerShell and task automation 
  • Experience with troubleshooting and administrating SharePoint sites and farms.
  • Experience with installing, upgrading, and configuring SharePoint.
  • Advanced experience in Kerberos, PKI, & Group Policy
  • Understanding of SharePoint backup and restore procedures

Preferred Skills/Previous Experience:

  • Expert knowledge of SharePoint 2016 or SharePoint 2019
  • Experience architecting, upgrading, and maintaining a highly available SharePoint environment
  • Experience supporting SharePoint developers, and SharePoint site owners
  • Understanding of a SharePoint distributed farm architecture.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and end users with varying levels of technical expertise
  • Self-starter who displays a sense of urgency and drives issues through to completion
  • Excellent system design skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, math, or other related science field (or equivalent)
