Job Description


Would you enjoy building an anti-money laundering program? Fisher Investments' compliance team is looking for an AML Officer to help consolidate our existing practices into a cohesive program. Your experience with analysis and compliance in AML will make you successful in this role!


The Opportunity:


As an AML Officer, you will oversee our compliance with UK and Canadian money laundering laws and regulations. Your expertise will help identify opportunities to reduce risks and stay current with the changing AML environment and auditing techniques. You will be entrusted to independently manage and communicate changes while developing and administering an AML training program. You will report to the VP of Legal and Compliance who will aid in your training for this role and professional development for future growth opportunities.


The Day-to-Day:

  • Draft and maintain AML procedures consistent with the regulatory environment
  • Conduct reviews to determine effectiveness of the AML program, proposing and making applicable changes
  • Monitor for relevant changes to AML laws and regulations that may affect the business and its operations
  • Develop best practices and tools for program execution and management
  • Coordinate with other departments to assure adherence to AML laws and regulations
  • Review client risk assessments and file required regulatory reports
  • Evaluate and use third-party AML software solutions
  • Assist with other compliance monitoring activities

Your Qualifications:

  • 3 years or more of experience in an AML role
  • Experience drafting and implementing procedures
  • Experience training employees on AML requirements
