When founder Ken Fisher established Fisher Investments as a sole proprietorship in 1979, he wasn't trying to beat competing investment firms at their own business model. Ken simply started a new model, advising institutional clients in using domestically-focused, small-cap value equity investments. What began as a small, startup-style institutional investment company soon expanded into a largely-untapped market: money management for high-net-worth investors looking to meet their long-term financial goals. Almost 40 years later, we operate out of 17 countries worldwide and manage over $105 billion in assets for more than 50,000 private clients and over 175 institutions*. Fisher Investments got its start in the basement of Ken Fisher's home; our first official office was in a building that was once a Chinchilla farm.
