Job Description


Fisher Investments is a privately-held investment management firm who manages portfolios for high-net-worth private clients and some of the world's preeminent institutions. We are now searching for a highly talented Facility Services Grounds Maintenance Technician in our Woodside, CA location. This employee is responsible under general supervision to perform work in general maintenance of landscape and grounds, maintain and perform minor repairs to grounds maintenance equipment, some general custodial care and minor building facilities duties.


Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
•Maintains grounds in clean, safe, and orderly manner.
•Removes weeds and debris from walkways, culverts, stairways, roadways, planters and parking areas by hand or via herbicide application.
•Prunes shrubs and trees up to maximum height of fifteen feet; uses blower or broom to sweep parking spaces, driveways and patios; maintains in-ground drains and culverts.
•Loads and unloads equipment or materials from department vehicles; hauls and disposes of landscape cuttings and debris; cultivates and renovates designated planting areas; installs or replaces trees, ornamental plants, shrubs, ground covers, annuals, and bulbs.
•Plans, installs, and maintains landscape irrigation systems including repairing or replacing sprinkler heads, valves, and lines; assists with repairs or installations of fencing, paving materials for pathways, concrete and rock retaining walls, wood, concrete and/or rock boarders and various posts, slabs, drains, and culverts;
•Operates and maintains grounds maintenance equipment such as string trimmer, rototiller, chainsaw, power hedge trimmer, sprayers, and basic gardening hand tools.
•Loads equipment on vehicles for transport and drives to work sites; keeps hoses, supplies, tools, and equipment in proper condition and repair.
•Maintains and installs low voltage landscaping lighting systems.
•Mixes and applies approved herbicides for weed mitigation; mixes and applies fertilizers; performs minor pest management; maintains stock of fertilizer and plant food supplies


•Functional literacy
•Ability to demonstrate an acceptable degree of skills in those areas identified above
•Ability to relate well staff and public
•CA driver’s license
•Lifting up to 60 lbs. 


•Previous experience in a similar position
•Can juggle priorities and be able to work under pressure
