Surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany, the small country of Luxembourg (also known as the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) covers less than 1,000 square miles. This prominent financial center is the wealthiest nation in Europe, with a GDP per capital of more than €96,000*. While the country's capital, Luxembourg City, is a major business center, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its fortifications and old quarters.
